Earlier the entire multimedia file where used to be quite large and took time in downloading ,had to be downloaded before viewing .This problem has been solved by revolutionary development in multimedia capability: STREAMING MEDIA.
STREAMING MEDIA is an audio or video file sent in compressed form over the internet and played after buffering.Media is sent in continous stream of data.
SHOCKWAVE and FLASH are plug ins that offer the creation and implementation of an entire multimedia display.
